A cute lil review of what our guests are eating for dinner, a recipe I am into, and some things that I am fixating on RN

Damn this week’s episode was epic. Suzanne Gilberg, MD is the doc we all deserve and few of us unfortunately have access to. What I love about her work is that it’s so clearly rooted in her life experiences and values - and that she then lets her work and her research inform how she lives. She tells women that hormone therapy might be an option for them - she also takes hormones. She tells her patients to focus on a mediterranean diet and she does that herself. You can see her approach to how she lives in the meals she shared with us this week - A good reminder to all of us that how we choose to eat is, in many ways, a reflection of how we choose to live.

The weather has gone from stunning to diabolical in no time flat in LA as of late. We had some days in the 70s that I think cured seasonal depression I didn’t know I had. Now we are knee deep in over 90 degree temps daily and Daylight Savings has made me feel like I am living in July. If that’s the curve ball I am getting thrown, then I gotta get into hyperspeed on my summer vibes. First up on things I am dusting off from the closet is my wireless outdoor speaker. Light, durable and easy to use - I have skipped a complicated outdoor audio setup and just bring it with me. It’s a shockingly powerful little guy and does a great job projecting all the vibes I need - from Pitbull to Yacht Rock - all summer long.

This week’s menu by Dr. Suzanne I think really celebrated grown ass womanhood. Have the chocolate. Eat with friends. Eat food that will make you feel good. When Dr. Suzanne said she needs to have some sort of chocolate every night I quietly seconded the notion and thought lovingly about one of my favorite sweet treats, these HU Chocolate bars. Lots of flavors, but sometimes the classic does the best job of scratching the itch.

Lastly, I loved seeing that Dr. Suzanne has a go to meat sauce, because…so do I! Everyone needs one! Even if your vegetarian, use lentils or tofu! If you don’t have one in your back pockets, I’d like to lend you mine, below.
